Once again, DEGS shooters attended the CMP Eastern games in force, including Adam Garris, Cole Warner, and Nick Simonetti, who competed in both high power competition with AR-15's and the .22 rimfire matches. The boys came to shoot. All three won medals. Adam and Nick won bronze medals in high power, despite high winds.
Just when the .22 rim fire match began, it started to rain. Luckily the boys were able to focus and they had a great match. Cole won a silver medal scoring a 563-17X. Adam won a gold medal scoring a 569-17X. Nick won a gold medal scoring a 587-23X. The boys used the Savage Mark II rifles from CMP. There were a lot of scoped rifles on the line but our boys were on target with iron sights.
Congratulations to everyone who participated in the games this year. Despite a bit of rain and wind, it was, as always, a great time on the range.
