The Down East Garand Shooters held their fourth annual awards banquet at the Pig Palace on Saturday January 26. Over 40 of our die hard shooters and their families braved the weather to enjoy a fine meal and presentation of awards for the 2012 shooting season.
We officially kicked off our 2014 shooting season this past weekend with an excellent CMP Garand Clinic led by our certified Master Instructor, Clint Randles. Clint covered everything a new shooter needs to know in order to begin participating in GSM matches: shooting positions, sight adjustment, scoring, and much more.
We moved to a new venue, but the annual DEGS award banquet was as much fun as ever. We gave out a variety of awards, including Most Improved Shooter and Highest Garand Score. We discussed some club business for 2015, and of course we raffled off another great-looking M1 Garand rifle. See below for photos and highlights.
