We moved to a new venue, but the annual DEGS award banquet was as much fun as ever. We gave out a variety of awards, including Most Improved Shooter and Highest Garand Score. We discussed some club business for 2015, and of course we raffled off another great-looking M1 Garand rifle. See below for photos and highlights.

Awards:

  • Most Improved Shooter: Murv Hymel
  • High Garand Score: Dewey Hales
  • High Modern Military Score: Dewey Hales
  • High Junior Score at CMP Eastern Games: Nick Simonetti

A few of the announcements:

  • Starting from our March match, shooters will have the option of starting from the standing position for the rapid fire stage.
  • Starting in the May match, second relay shooters will have the option to shoot the "B" course, which is 55 rounds instead of the usual 35.
  • The club will improve the storage space with racks and a cabinet to hold our targets and other materials.

The Garand went to Stan Respess, who wasn't present, and thought we were pulling his leg when we called to give him the news!
